What were you doing in eighth grade? Looking forward to taking the leap from middle school to high school? Yeah, that’s not the case with linebacker prospect Jesus Machado, who is fielding scholarship offers from major colleges.
Machado stands at 6-feet, 195 pounds and is already playing on Champagnat High School’s varsity team. Alabama has certainly taken notice of the rising star and offered him a verbal scholarship — the details from Youth1.com:

Machado, who played varsity football as an 8th grader this year at Champagnat Catholic, is closing in on half a dozen offers before becoming a true 9th grader. Last summer, as a 7th grader, he was ranked as a top-10 prospect in the Youth1.com Elite101 for the class of 2020. Today he was offered by Alabama coach Mario Cristobal.

Iowa State, Michigan State, N.C. State, and West Virginia are other schools who have interest in bringing in Machado. He can expect hundreds of other offers with the Nick Saban seal of approval already attached.
