See, this is the kind of things that happen when college basketball isn’t year round for Indiana fans. It’s literally all they have. You think they are looking forward to college football season? Nope, these fans eat, drink, and breathe Hoosier basketball. Now, a little over a month after Indiana got bounced out of the tourney by North Carolina, their fans are resorting to robbing banks to get that rush back again.

From The Chicago Sun-Times:

The Wood Dale Bank and Trust branch at 171 E. Irving Park Rd. in Wood Dale was robbed at 12:54 p.m., according to the FBI and Wood Dale police.

The suspect did not show a weapon and no one was injured in the robbery, the FBI said.

Officers were given a clothing description, surveillance video and direction of travel, and established a perimeter, police said. They searched the area, but did not locate the robber.

The robber is described as a 5-foot-11 white man in his early-to-mid 30s, with brown eyes and medium build, the FBI said. He was wearing a red “Indiana” hooded sweatshirt, dark sweatpants, and dark scarf with a white design covering his face.

It’s been a rough week for Indiana and basketball in general. First, Ted Cruz calls the rim a “basketball ring” at the old Hickory High gym and probably lost all of those votes in the process, and now we have this fan robbing banks. Let’s pull it together, Indiana, November isn’t as far away as you think.
