It’s been a rough past couple of days for former U.S. Women’s soccer star Abby Wambach.
She was arrested early Sunday morning for DUI after running a red light, and now more skeletons are being revealed as court documents obtained by TMZ state that Wambach used both marijuana and cocaine in the past.
In the docs, she admits to using cocaine and marijuana several years ago. 35-year-old Wambach said she “first used marijuana by age 24.” The cops note the last time she smoked weed was age 25.
As for the coke usage, cops say “the defendant tried cocaine at age 25.”
In case you’re wondering, Wambach made her first appearance for the U.S. Women’s Soccer team in 2001.
As far as the DUI goes, she’s plead not guilty and has already taken responsibility for her actions.
My lawyer entered a not guilty plea on my behalf. This is standard procedure.I am owning this. Nothing has changed. https://t.co/sSwsPPPmxt
