The 2015-16 season was supposed to be a rebuilding one for the Portland Trail Blazers after losing LaMarcus Aldridge to the San Antonio Spurs. Instead, their record stands at 30-27 and are a real threat to rise all the way up to the five seed, which could set up an interesting first-round match against the Los Angeles Clippers.
What has propelled this team? Pretty much Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum being the Pacific Northwest version of the Splash Brothers. The two are absolutely lights out shooters from behind the arc, and it helps that GM Neil Olshey has loaded the team with interesting rotational players.
As an added bonus, this would be the third straight year the Blazer Dancers dancers get to crash the postseason. They’re 17-strong and definitely help the Rip City crowd make it raucous environment for opposing players.
