How does Gronk get away with the Gronk Cruise debauchery while Manziel (pre-possible battery) get crushed?
I heard very brief mention of this debate Monday after the videos and photos of the Gronk Cruise fun started to hit Instagram and Snapchat. There are a couple of things at play here: Gronk has never been arrested and his brand of fun is completely different fun than Manziel’s version of fun. I watched about a hundred Gronk Cruise videos and I didn’t see a single video where Rob is drinking. This big goofy donkey just wants to dance – for hours. Manziel, on the other hand, just wants to get pounded into the ground drunk. Gronk has the whole family thing going for him, too. The donkey brothers help. Manziel doesn’t have that world. He then runs with Drake’s flukies. Or his other oil rich flukies who are hanger-ons for the fame train. Gronk’s buddies – like Mojo Rawley – actually have a few things going for themselves. Manziel’s biggest problem seems to be that he’s the angry drunk guy. His dad warned about this years ago to the New York Times. The lesson in all this: be the happy, dancing, fun drunk guy & you’re good. And win.
