The highly praised Ty Lawson trade has failed to pan out, Kevin McHale is jobless, and Dwight Howard is about ready to quit on his team again. But hey, at least they got Josh Smith back, right?! The team currently stands one game under .500 and a game out of the eight seed in the Western Conference, so yeah, there’s some work that has to be done.
On the plus side, they do have their Rockets Power Dancers to keep fans from going nuts at games. They’ve been featured on SportsCenter, Maxim, and Complex Magazine.
The Rockets Power Dancers have long been fan favorites at Rockets games and in the Greater Houston area for their tremendous energy, hard-hitting routines and love for the game. This world-class group of dancers has inspired Rockets fans in rooting for the home team since the 1994-95 season. The team comprised of business professionals and students perform at all home games and at numerous community, corporate and private events. The dancers join with the Rockets players, coaches and business team to help make a difference in the lives of children in the local community. In addition to the time they spend with fans at local events, in recent years, the dancers have been proud to represent the Rockets at the NBA All-Star Game, as well as at international events throughout mainland China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan, Bosnia, Kosovo, the United Kingdom and Argentina.
