I’m not exactly big on the New York Jets, but I do hope Antonio Cromartie can last another five seasons playing football.
Why? Oh, no reason other than the fact that the guy pays $336,000 in child support annually. Seriously, $336,000 — the NY Post’s Susan Edelman did the math:
Besides the two children he already has with Terricka, Cromartie, 31, has eight kids with seven other women across the country. He pays each about $3,500 a month in child support — an estimated $336,000 a year.
And last week, we told you guys about Cromartie defeating the vasectomy odds with his super sperm to impregnate his wife, Terricka, with twins to up his child total to an astonishing 12.
We’d probably advise he do everything possible to avoid jumping ship to a new woman.
Cromartie did earn $7 million in 2015, but the four-year, $32 million deal he signed with the Jets has no guarantees going forward. Per NJ.com, he could be cut and not earn a damn thing, which obviously wouldn’t be ideal in Cromartie’s situation.
- Travis Henry, in 2009, reportedly owed $170,000 per year in child support for nine children, all from different women. He had three children before entering the NFL.
- Chris McAlister, who played 11 seasons (all but one with the Ravens) and cashed in five years of a 7-year, $55 million contract, was paying his ex-wife in 2011 $11,000 a month in child support.
