Alabama cops have been busy over the last week or so rounding up meth/heroin users, dealers and manufacturers and, you guessed it, Bama fans were popped in the busts. The two busts resulted in 20 arrests and numerous others that were still running from the law.
According to WAFF, one bust took place in the northern Alabama city of Decatur while the other bust went down in neighboring Lawrence County, which hugs the Tennessee River.
Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell seems to have a good handle on what he’s up against with this horrible and cheap drug.
“Once we get them in the jail, at least they’ve got the shot at getting in rehab, getting some help on it,” Mitchell said. “Once they get on the meth and stuff, they’re not coming off of it. They only way they’re coming off of it is when they hit bottom.”
