Houston first year head coach Tom Herman made a promise. He promised his team he’d get a diamond grill if the Cougars won the AAC championship. And then the team went out and got the job done, beating Temple 24-13 for a 12-1 record and now a trip to the Peach Bowl against Florida State.
Today Herman kept his word and got some help with the grill fitting from none other than Texas grill legend and hip hop artist Paul Wall.

Tom Herman’s grill will be ready next week. He said “my mouth will be looking something like a disco ball.” Well played. @paulwallbaby

Herman, 40, went from being the Ohio State offensive coordinator who helped the Buckeyes win the very first college football playoff to being in the same room with jeweler Johnny Dang, the guy who ices pretty much every famous athlete you can name.
It’s good to be Tom Herman right now.
