The Bengals Are 8-0
How about the Red Rifle and the Bengals, huh? I know a lot of our readers live in Ohio so I thought I’d give them a little shout out this morning. There’s only 4 undefeated teams left (Pats, Broncos, Bengals, and Panthers) and somehow the Bengals look like one of the best teams in the league. I’d still put them 3rd if I had to rank those 4 teams because I don’t think you can really ever trust Andy Dalton. We’ll see, though. They play at Denver in the second to last game of the season and then we’ll get a good look at if this is a Super Bowl caliber team heading into the playoffs.
Johnny Football wasn’t that bad
Sure, he only threw for 40 yards in the second half as the Bengals put them away, but that first half was not terrible. 11-18, 128 yards, and a nice 92 yard TD drive at the end of the half. Also, he took care of the ball and didn’t throw any picks, which is something he needed to work on.
I don’t understand why the Browns ever went away from him. His first start of the season he played great, and then went right back to the bench when McCown came back. At least give him a full season as a starter to see what you have with him and then go from there. If the Browns were smart, they would keep him as the starter for the rest of the season, but they’re the Browns so they probably won’t.
