No way any team outside the SEC could survive an SEC schedule
That’s the narrative we’re beat over the head with year after year after year. Meanwhile, the divide between the SEC and the Power 5 (even the MAC) is shrinking by the year. Last night I had to sit there and listen to David Pollack go on about the strength of the SEC and how overpowering the conference is, which is why LSU and Alabama are in the Final Four ranking. Alabama has just survived an insane gauntlet…that’s the narrative. Did anyone watch Arkansas lose to Toledo? Did anyone watch Ole Miss get thumped by Memphis? Did anyone watch Bama struggle – at home – with Tennessee? And you’re about to get crushed over the head with even more SEC dominance because GameDay is going to Tuscaloosa for the LSU game. Remember, there’s no way anyone outside the SEC can compete with this conference, especially not the Big Ten. No way. No chance.
