There are two things Fernando Rodney is really good at: freaking out fans with his shaky control, and breaking out his arrow celebration. Luckily for Cubs Nation, he provided the best of both worlds today.
Rodney was called on by Joe Maddon to pitch the seventh inning, and did relatively well in his 0.2 innings of work. He gave up no runs, walked only one batter and struck out a guy. You pretty much take that every time with Fernando since the alternative is usually like five walks and four runs.
And despite getting yanked before he could complete the inning, Rodney gave the fans at Wrigley Field what they came for: the arrow!

We expect nothing less from the guy who once hung out in the Rockies’ outfield forest.
