The Mariners and Rockies are currently finishing up their three-game series, and it’s safe to say the weather is far from ideal. While it may not be raining, it is a blistering 94 degrees in Denver at the moment, which doesn’t please Fernando Rodney one bit.
In fact, Rodney was so uncomfortable with the heat that he grabbed himself a chair in the fifth inning and took a nice stroll over to the trees near the Mariners bullpen:

And had himself some quality alone time in the shade:

With the way Fernando has pitched all season, he may want to stay in the shadows and hope Lloyd McClendon forgets he’s out there.
UPDATE: Lloyd made the call for Rodney to get the final two outs of the game. Rodney promptly blew the save.
Three batters faced, two hits, two runs, one walk. Fernando Rodney, everybody. #clownshow

And with that, Fernando Rodney retreats to hide behind a tree again. #Mariners
