The return of Victor Cruz to the New York Giants (1-2) lineup will have to wait another week as the rehab from a calf injury hasn’t progressed to a point where the wide receiver will be able to return against the Buffalo Bills.
“It sucks,” Cruz told the New York media about not being able to play in his first game of 2015.

According to the New York Post, “Cruz pulled himself out early and suffered a setback in what he’s dubbed “The Return.’’
Tom Coughlin said there’s now no timetable for Cruz’s return:
“Victor tried it [Wednesday], and it did not feel right to him,” Coughlin said. “So he did not practice, just a little bit in the very beginning. Obviously, we’re all disappointed in that.
“But we choose to take the road that we really don’t have a lot of choice in. Which means that, get him back in rehab, get him back to work and see when we can get him back on the field. … It is what it is. He tried it, and he didn’t make it. So he will not be able to play this week.”
Cruz played in only six games during 2014 and hasn’t had over 1,000 receiving yards since 2012.
