BYU offensive lineman Ului Lapuaho won’t miss action for his junk punch Saturday night during the Boise State game. “He has had team discipline issued. It’s not going to require missing any games. We have a very clear policy in place for personal fouls,” Cougars coach Bronco Mendenhall told the media today.

Here’s the punch in question.

So let me get this straight. At BYU, where you can’t have a beard without getting an exemption, you can punch an opponent in the junk and not miss a game. Call me crazy, but that looks like assault. You punch a guy right in the junk at a bar and you’re going to jail for assault.

Also, I’m not sure exactly how the BYU Honor Code works, but Ului hitting another guy in the junk might fall under the homosexual clause.
