Is old fantasy football too boring?
I’ve seen this debate raging on whether old fantasy football is now boring like old fantasy baseball. Have we become dependent on daily fantasy leagues at DraftKings and FanDuel to the point where old fantasy is history? Do you really need a new team each week? This is where it comes down to whether you’re single, have a girlfriend that works weekends, married and married with kids. There are different levels of fantasy football that fit into each category. If you’re single, you have plenty of time to research 400 NFL players to see who should fit into your FanDuel lineup. If you’re married with kids who’re shitting themselves and puking on the couch, you don’t have the time. Ever watch those FanDuel and DraftKings commercials? Younger and younger guys are the stars. Us old timers with kids shitting themselves don’t have time for that stuff.
The great news for these daily fantasy sites is that the youth of this nation are about to inherit a shitload of money from the Baby Boomers. And these young morons would love to blow that money on things like fantasy gambling.
