The Washington Nationals can keep telling themselves they are the team to beat, but facts are facts — the Mets’ pitching staff is nasty and now they can hit! Nats fans know this, and they feel the pressure of lofty expectations crushing their team’s collective mindset. There’s really nothing they can do to remedy the pain other than take to a life of crime.
For instance, one Nats fan is wanted by Raleigh police after robbing a bank Tuesday morning. The deets from WRAL-TV:
Officers responded to a robbery just before 10:40 a.m. at the First Citizens Bank at 10201 Little Brier Creek Lane.
According to police, a man demanded cash and fled after a teller complied with his demands. He then got into an brown SUV and drove west on Brier Creek Parkway.
The robber is described as a heavyset white man wearing a Washington Nationals baseball cap who walked with a cane and had his arm in a sling.
The bad news for Nats fan: surveillance cameras may have caught his getaway car:
Once again, basic fundamentals come back to haunt the Nationals contingent.
