This Vanderbilt Football Tweet Was Definitely a Bad Idea

I was literally just writing about the importance of celebrities reading Twitter drafts over and over to make sure they don’t tweet anything stupid. Apparently I should have widened to net to include tone-deaf colleges who send out a “We don’t need your permission” tweet during an ongoing rape case:

I get it. Vandy Football wants to pump up their fans for another disappointing season, but come on. How can you read that slogan and think, “LOOKS GOOD!” knowing two of your former players (Cory Batey and Bandon Vandenburg) were convicted of rape?
UPDATE: Vanderbilt has apologized.

(The case was later deemed a mistrial due to juror not disclosing he was a victim of statutory rape.)
