If we told you a San Diego Chargers cheerleader quit her job a couple years ago and now dances at nightclubs on the weekends, you’d probably assume something went terribly wrong. But that isn’t the case with Marlina Moreno.
Marlina is a San Diego State alum who’s currently enrolled in Miami University’s Biology/Wildlife Conservation Master’s Program. She cheered for the Chargers for four years and according to the NY Post, quit after a visit to the South African Jungle:
Since then, she has visited eight countries in Asia, Africa and South America, launching a documentary company that showcases the plights of endangered species.
Her upcoming travels include returning to Uganda this year to finish a project.
So there you go, Marlina has the rare noble reason for nightclub dancing: she has to make serious side cash to travel around the world and help save the animals! Some people may still find that sleazy, but hey, she’s a student who needs to fund trips around the world. Sometimes you have to do whatever it takes.
