After spending most of the season being ridiculed for their inept offense, the retooled New York Mets are hot as can be. They completed a three-game sweep of the Washington Nationals this past weekend, and are now railroading the Miami Marlins, leading 12-0 through seven innings.
Everyone on the team has a hit (sans Kelly Johnson), including master batsman Bartolo Colon, who took a weak Chris Reed offering up the middle for a textbook single:

The only problem with that play was the third base coach held up Johnson at third. Yes, I understand you don’t want to ruffle the feathers of the opposing team in a 12-0 game, but it’s a goddamn Bartolo RBI at stake! You take the beanball from the Marlins each time in that scenario.

Fun fact: That single was Bartolo’s sixth hit of the season, tying his career high from 2002!
