Think being a baseball vendor would be a cool first job? Think again. Unless, of course, you think low wages, dealing with fans who think they’re goddamn royalty, and constant cardio walking up and down aisles while carrying heavy treys is a good time. Oh, and considering they work tons of games per season, they are also constantly at risk of being hit by foul balls.
A vendor at last night’s Seattle Mariners game knows exactly what I’m talking about, as he — or she — took a foul ball (off the bat of Chris Taylor) right to the dome. What made the situation even more dangerous was that the vendor wasn’t looking:
