I’m not going to lie. If I hadn’t met my future wife in 2006, I would’ve probably married Oregon cheerleader Amanda Pflugrad in 2009. We were super close. She would go nuts partying on some boat, I would post photos. She would cheer at an Oregon football game, I would post photos.

We were practically dating, minus things like actually going on dates and actual communication. It’s hard to believe there is a generation of BC readers who were in middle school when Pflugrad was destroying the cheerleading game. Let me tell you 18 year olds that she was the hottest chick in the game. She was the Kate Upton of the cheerleading game.

That’s why it’s HUGE news that she’s the new Celtics “team reporter.” Not sure what that means, but I’m sure she’ll be appearing on camera. Pflugrad has been floating around the sideline reporting games the last couple years, shifting from the Pac-12 Network, the SEC Network, some work with the Jets and there’s probably a place I’m missing. Now comes the jump to Boston where you’re on the ESPN doorstep.

One good season with the Celtics and you might land a full-time ESPNU sideline job.
