BEST SPORTS WEEKEND OF THE YEAR…DOESN’T GET BETTER…OMG, IT’S SOOOO GREAT
Let’s pump the brakes a little bit here. Unless you’re bedridden or it’s raining outside, there’s no good reason to be sitting your ass in front of the TV for the NFL Draft this afternoon. Zero reasons. Get your lazy ass outside and plant a flower. Clean up that mess you have in the yard. Cut a tree limb. Quit being a loser. So the Derby is this afternoon. I’m a Derby fiend, but that means these days that I’ll set a phone alert to go in to watch for 25 minutes and then go back to not being a loser. And then I’ll sit down for an hour to watch the fight at like 11:30 after a long, productive day. Best sports weekend of the year? Not even close. Give me a college football, NFL and World Series weekend and I’m good.

Went walleye fishing on Lake Erie yesterday and the weather might’ve been the best it’s ever been on May 1. There’s something pretty relaxing about cracking open a beer at 9:30, jigging for walleye and not having your ass thrown around by waves. If it wasn’t for the murky water, it was like being in they Keys fishing for mahi. It’s been one helluva run of shitty weather around here in northern Ohio so it’s time to actually live a little. Why do bowl games love having Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin and Michigan State play in their games? We have nothing but despair for five straight months. Give us a day of great weather and we’ll go nuts.
