It hasn’t been the best week for Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer, dealing with a bout of food poisoning and losing his start to the Royals on Tuesday — although he surrendered just three runs in six innings of work.
Expectedly, some people in the fantasy baseball world didn’t care for the quality start, and harped on the fact that Bauer had to miss a scheduled start last Saturday:
.@BauerOutage bruh you got sick and cost me my fantasy week.. It's cool but at the same time it's not.
— Ryan Schoenbachler (@Shimmy_812) April 27, 2015
This was a mistake, and brought out Bauer’s major anti-fantasy sports side:
@Shimmy_812 and you are the reason I hate fantasy sports.

Mr. Schoenbachler backtracked quickly, but it didn’t matter at all:
@Shimmy_812 na man, it's not cool. You're more concerned with fantasy sports than you are with real people.

Hmm … perhaps Bauer’s putting too much thought into this?
But the fantasy fun wasn’t done yet! Another user mentioned a crapload of baseball players — which included Bauer — in one tweet to apologize in advance for his cursed team potentially injuring them down the road. Seems nice, right? Nope. Bauer shut that crap down ASAP:
@MaxRose47 @Julio_Teheran @Max_Scherzer @Awood45 @jose_quintana24 @JakeOdorizzi no one cares about your fantasy team. Stop tagging us

Eventually Bauer cooled down on the fantasy front and … moved onto unloading on unruly Indians fans:
@REucker1 @TheJK_Kid @Themikeaviles @BIGLON8 @Indians when you make the big leagues and show us how it's done hot shot
— Trevor Bauer (@BauerOutage) April 29, 2015
@REucker1 @TheJK_Kid @Themikeaviles @BIGLON8 @Indians Go be angry somewhere else ace. The players definitely don't need your negativity

@BauerOutage, folks. A blast both on the mound and on social media!
