Oregon State quarterback Sean Mannion is Pac-12 big (6-6, 229), slow (5.14 40) and has a big arm. Think: He’s a project. Still, Mannion is projected by CBS to be a 3rd or 4th round pick in the NFL Draft. That also means that he could possibly see some camera time, because as I’ve said previously, TV producers like white quarterbacks with hot girlfriends — like Mannion’s girlfriend Megan Lopez. It keeps viewers on edge. “Where will the white guy with the hot girlfriend get drafted?”
Happens every year. Twitter will suddenly care because of the hot girlfriend. Fans will become irrational. Never fails.
So Ms. Lopez is an Oregon State alum. Megan says in her Twitter bio that she’s a “wanna be football analyst at heart.” From what we can tell, Lopez likes beer, dressing hot with her girlfriends from time to time and is a Bruins fan. I have no clue how someone in Oregon is a Bruins fan. Mannion’s in a good spot here. His girlfriend isn’t blasting IG with all sorts of bikini photos, but she still seems to be fun. It’s not like Megan’s the next coming of Katherine Webb, but there’s still enough spice.
NFL.com says 5th or 6th round. That means you’ll be hearing all about Mannion Saturday afternoon. That also means Ms. Lopez should get ready to use that degree because there’s a high probability that Sean will be out of the NFL within a year.
