Philly fans have been puffing out their chests lately, claiming they’re not the biggest scumbags in sports because there hasn’t been an incident from one their fans – lately. It never fails that one of them will remind me, “At least we don’t kill people.” They’re referencing San Francisco Giants fans. I have to remind Philly fans that’s not true. I can’t figure out why Philly fans don’t embrace the scumbag tag. Why run away from it?
Anyway, a scumbag Phillies fan burglarized a Wawa gas station this week. CBS Philly has the details:

Police are searching for a suspect who entered a restricted area and stole the wallets and purses of several employees at a convenience store in Northeast Philadelphia. The entire incident was captured on surveillance video. The burglary happened at about 10:45 p.m. on April 21st at the Wawa in the 9400 block of State Road in the city’s Torresdale section.

What kind of scumbag walks in a Wawa and starts stealing wallets and purses? A total scumbag…who must have a history of working at Wawa, because he knew right where those wallets were located.
If Philly fans really don’t like the scumbag tag, they’ll turn in this scumbag. Get him off the streets before he’s stealing your wallet at McFadden’s before a game.
