Remember when David Wright decided to flex his veteran presence to pitching prospect Noah Syndergaard over eating a sandwich during a spring training game? Well, apparently Wright should’ve extended his wisdom to include how to handle oneself on Twitter.
Syndergaard was involved in a Twitter “altercation” Friday, unloading on trolls who didn’t believe him missing a start due to an illness was a solid reason.
@RisingAppleBlog @Mets24seven that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard

Of course, the engagement of one troll led to others creeping in on the action. Noah took care of them too:

@Mets24seven @MK_768 then don't offend me like that. So why don't you go hide behind your computer and continue to say outrageous things

Expectedly, the accounts of said trolls have already been deactivated. Gotta love the easy way out these keyboard warriors have.
On the Mets front, GM Sandy Alderson has overreacted and discussed the incident with Syndergaard:
Alderson said Noah Syndergaard had food poisoning & needed IVs. Adds Syndergaard was spoken to about twitter, which he called "a trap" #nym

However, if you stroll over to Noah’s Twitter homepage, it looks like he’s ready for some more action:
