Deadliest Catch season premiere
I passed out with about 30 minutes to go in last night’s two-hour premiere so I’m only going off that, but I completely understand that things are going to get real good once the boats start going after the bairdi crab. The Deadliest Catch director is beating us over the head with that angle so just go with it. The only big difference so far this year from last seems to be the absence of Scott Campbell Jr. He tweeted last night that he’s in “retirement” from the show and won’t be on. Elliott Neese is back. It was good to see him still in rare form when his dad knocked on the captain’s quarters. Should be a good season.
Ted Nugent being Ted Nugent
Ted joked at the NRA convention about shooting Harry Reid. There was a question from the crowd (context here) and then Ted said, “If your child is dying and there is only one way to get to the doctor, would you get on Harry Reid’s boat to get there? … I’d get on the boat, get there, and then I’d shoot him.”
