Chris Borland retires
I shouldn’t be surprised that Borland announced his retirement last night. None of us should be surprised that guys are dropping like flies in the NFL. Do you risk dementia at 40 for the payday or quit early before they take the brain moneyshot that leaves them in a world where suicide is the only way out? I’m just as guilty as all of you when it comes to ripping a defensive player for not putting a huge hit on a guy coming across the middle. Either you’re going to be fined or you’re risking a shot to the brain and possible death by 50. It’s just not worth it.
