It’s cold in Toledo, Ohio so there are water main breaks here and there. You know, just another normal four month winter in the north where you start to wonder why you’re living in this hellhole. Then you start to think about all the family that’s still local and how you could never leave them for Florida or Arizona. Then it’ll get semi-warm (upper 60s by early May) and you’ll start to be happy again. The lakes will eventually thaw just in time for Memorial Day weekend and you will be fishing by boat, instead of via snowmobile five miles deep into Lake Erie.
That cold weather caused a University of Toledo water main to snap this week, causing havoc on the campus. A Rockets basketball game was canceled so Ohio State transfer J.D. Weatherspoon had some time on his hands.
Update: Efforting to see how many takes before Weatherspoon got this one to go in. No way that was a one-and-done.
