It’s never been a better time to be 70+ and a sports analyst. Lou Holtz is 78; Dick Vitale 75. These two guys have some magical powers over college cheerleaders. Last night, Lou was in Naples, Florida to give one of his speeches and to accept some award. You know the routine: Lou is hired to roll into town, locals pay a chunk of money to get dinner and listen to the legend splash through one of his inspirational speeches.
Later, Lou is presented with some plaque that he throws into a closet when he gets home.
The big difference last night was that the Ave Maria University cheerleaders were there and that’s when grandpa got his lipstick kisses.
