Tommy Lasorda And His Granddaughters

It’s good to see Tommy get the family together at an indoor soccer match. Just kidding, he was in Ontario, CA over the weekend to serve as honorary captain of the Fury in their match against San Diego. The guy is 87. His duties, according to the Fury marketing department, included kicking “out the first ball to open Thursday night’s important Pacific Division battle against the San Diego Sockers.”
Bad news: San Diego won 9-5 even though Tommy gave an inspired pregame speech in the Fury locker room.
Look, at this point, Tommy is just packing as much into life as he can. The guy has been rolling over the last year. Our coverage has been extensive. He’s not just sitting at home wasting life. The guy still eats like a machine and hits up Buffalo Wild Wings to drink tall drafts. He’s living a better life than you.
