Will Ferrell Clocked a Pelicans Cheerleader in the Head (For a Movie)

Halftime at a sporting event usually signals unruly fans making a beeline for concession stands and restrooms. But that wasn’t the case at Wednesday night’s Los Angeles Lakers-New Orleans Pelicans game.
Instead of sinking $10 on beer and/or watching some weird acrobatic show, fans were treated to “SNL” alum Will Ferrell shooting a scene for his upcoming film Daddy’s Home. Bleacher Report’s Kevin Ding uploaded the video above in which Ferrell nails a Pelicans cheerleader in the head during his “attempt” at a half-court shot.

In case you’re curious about the film, here’s the premise (via Deadline):

Ferrell plays a mild-mannered radio executive who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Mark Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids.
