Are you an Alabama fan who missed out on purchasing the giant elephant we profiled in December? If so, take a chill pill because we’ve come across another classic (and unique) piece that some Sabanite would love to have on their Crimson Tide shrine—an autographed AJ McCarron Nascar helmet! Memorabilia really doesn’t get any more Bama than that.
The helmet is currently on Craigslist and features a ridiculous pro-Bama description:
For sale is an extremely rare and cool Alabama Crimson Tide NASCAR pit crew helmet. In 2012, Clint Bowyer ran the #15 Aaron’s Toyota Camry at Talladega. For that race, a one-off paint scheme celebrating Alabama’s 14th National Championship was featured on the car. At one point in the race, Bowyer took the lead and the announcers said “Roll Tide” and the fans erupted!
The six pit crew members for Bowyers car were issued pit crew helmets that replicated those of Alabama, so there are only 6 of these in existence.
What an absolute shocker that a crowd at a Nascar race erupted after hearing the phrase “Roll Tide.”

Another unique fact about this helmet is that Bowyer drives the #15 car. The number 15 is on the side of the helmet. McCarron went on that year to lead the Crimson Tide to their 15th National Championship.
Coincidences don’t get any more magical than that, people.
