It’s hard for some of you to remember when Matt Leinart had the football world by the balls. The guy won the 2004 Heisman and could’ve gone to the NFL and cashed in on a multimillion dollar contract, but he decided to go back to USC so he could party and play football. Of course he was eventually drafted #10 overall by the Arizona Cardinals and sat behind Kurt Warner.
That allowed Matt, now 31, plenty of time to hit the Scottsdale clubs, including (now closed) hotspot Axis-Radius. That’s where Cat Kozuch and her friend Brittany ran into Party Boy. It was pure Leinart at the time. Puffy jacket, camo pants and the scruff that landed women in his hot tub and on the Internet via beer bong photos.
That’s what’s so great about #TBT. Lost photos that never made it to the Internet in 2005-06 retell the stories like an ESPN 30 for 30. It takes us back to the glory days when us 30 year olds didn’t have kids, responsibility and we could bust out a bong at after-hours parties.
Never forget the camo pants:
