Last week, the NFL fined Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch $100,000 for blowing off the media after a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Lynch has since found a money-saving method to giving interviews while still sticking it to the league: One-word answers.
As you can see from the Vine below, Lynch followed up Sunday’s infamous “Yeah” postgame interview with remixed “No” version after the Seahawks’ victory over the 49ers on Thursday.
In case you were wondering why blowing off a postgame presser would cost so much, the league released a statement explaining it:
Marshawn Lynch has been fined $50,000 for violating the NFL Media Policy. In addition, the league will collect the $50,000 fine that was imposed following violations of the media policy during the 2013 season but held in abeyance in anticipation of future cooperation.
The NFL Media Policy mandates that players must be available to the media during the practice week at the team facility and in the locker room following all games.
Meanwhile, Dominic Raiola can go around diving at opposing players’ knees with no consequence. (However, he was fined for a lesser offense. Go figure.)
