Police Dog Chases Down San Diego Chargers Fan/Robbery Suspect

Normally I wouldn’t post video of some robbery suspect running from cops on a San Diego street because it’s just not that exciting. But….you add in that the guy was wearing some sort of Chargers shirtsey and you have a story.
ABC 10 (who doesn’t include embed code for their videos) reports:

According to San Diego police, at about 1 a.m. the suspect forced a pedestrian into an ally near Ash and Front streets, and demanded cash. After taking about $100, he ran.
The victim told 911 dispatchers that the suspect was wearing a San Diego Chargers jersey with the No. 24. About 10 minutes later, a K-9 officer spotted the suspect near a trolley station in the 200 block of C Street and gave chase. The officer initially caught the suspect, but when he tried to handcuff him, the man got up and ran again.

Why would Ryan Matthews Fan run from cops while a dog is ready to chew on him? That’s the big question here. You have a dog breathing into your right ear and think the smart move is to run from the fuzz. That idea never seems to work out for criminals.
Watch the video. The dog ripped the dude’s shorts off and was treating them like its own personal Kong.
