Mississippi morning
Made it to Tunica, MS last night after a 9-hour drive through some of the most desolate land in the U.S. Ever make the drive down I-57 and I-55 to Memphis? It’s about as boring as it gets across this country. Had some dry rub BBQ ribs at Rendezvous in Memphis and then rolled down to Tunica, where Bama fans were starting to tear things up at the casinos. I’m starting to think that Bama fans never wear anything besides Bama clothing. You’d think on a Thursday night in Tunica they’d go with a nice non-Bama polo shirt. Nope, all Bama, all the time. In other news, I did see a local wearing a Miles Austin Cowboys jersey.
Mississippi weather
HUGE storms rolled through last night after a day with temps in the mid-80s. Now the forecast is calling for highs in the upper 60s on Saturday in Oxford — but sunny. That sounds like perfect weather for Katy Perry to make her GameDay debut.
