NYC Sweet 16 Ticket Prices Are Out Of F**king Control!!!!!




Our friend Chris Matcovich, the VP of Data & Communications at TiqIQ sent over this data three hours ago about how out of fucking control the ticket prices are for the Sweet 16 games at Madison Square Garden. Your teams in NYC: Virginia, Michigan State, Iowa State and UConn.


  • The current average price for a full strip of tickets to the East Regional (Sweet 16 and Elite 8) is $1,436.95 (Up 50.1% From Sunday– $969.57) which is the highest this year and also highest since the tournament was last in the NYC area in 2011 at Prudential Center ($905.56).
  • The current get in price is $610, which is up 58.03% increase since Sunday. Below are the average full strip prices for the rest of the regions (Get in):
    • West Region- $581.86 ($251)
    • Midwest Region- $573 ($224)
    • South Region- $236.13 ($105)
  • The average price for Session 1 (Sweet 16 Round) with UConn, Iowa State, Michigan State, and Virginia at Madison Square Garden is $1,057.29, up 62.39% since Sunday ($651.09) which is the highest of any Session 1 Regional game this year.
  • The current get in price for Session 1 is $495, which is up 65.55% since Sunday. Below are average prices for all other Session 1 Regional games:
    • West Region- $385.15 ($226)
    • Midwest Region- $263.08 ($139)
    • South Region- $103.75 ($49)
  • The most expensive ticket for Session 1 at MSG is currently listed at $7,800 for Club Sideline 10 row 1
  • There are also a couple suites available for Session 1, listed as high as $54.700+
