Let’s just be honest here: The RPI and Union College hockey teams don’t like each other. That was never more evident then Saturday night when the teams engaged in a post-game brawl that even included the coaches swinging on each other.
According to the Albany Times Union, two players from each team have been suspended thanks to last night’s brawl.
For Union, center Eli Lichtenwald and defenseman (and captain) Mat Bodie will sit out Friday’s game at St. Lawrence. For RPI, center Mike Zalewski and defenseman Luke Curadi will miss Friday’s game at Clarkson.
A total of 125 penalty minutes were assessed for the fight.
