Welp, it looks like Detroit Tigers fans are about to lose their minds just a little more thanks to a very brief little nugget from OK! Magazine that was posted this morning, just a day after Justin Verlander was throttled by the Orioles.

Will they last? Sports Illustrated cover model Kate Upton is more interested in runways than aisles these days. A source told OK! Magazine exclusively that the blonde bombshell told her baseball star boyfriend, Justin Verlander, to slow down when it comes to marriage talk.
OK! added:
“In summer they can go for weeks without seeing each other. Justin has proposed to many times that he’s lost count,” the source said. “It wont be a surprise if they call it quits.”
What the hell is going on here? Verlander is busy begging Upton to marry him and he’s out there Sunday giving up 7 earned over 3 2/3 to the Orioles? And making $28,000,000. And his record sits at 0-3 with a 6.62 ERA. Ilitch owes this guy $112M over the next four years.
Detroit fans aren’t going to be laughing when this news hits their Facebook feeds. You have a starting staff in shambles, Verlander supposedly busy begging Upton to marry him and the team fully in shambles, plus below .500.
I tried to warn Detroit a couple years ago that the worst news to hit the city (besides financial, infrastructure and employment disasters) was when Upton started dating Verlander. Of course he’s going to be distracted and lack the hunger. He’s 28-27 since the start of the 2013 season.
