A Bama Fan Got In Line 103 Hours Early For… Sunday's Alabama Fan Day

Update: We spoke with First In Line guy. His name is Bobby Hunter. He is 32 years old and has five kids.
I don’t see any problem with a Bama fan camping out 103 hours to be first in line to get into Sunday’s Fan Day. It’s better to be early than late, right? According to my calculations, the Bama fan started camping out Wednesday morning to get the first spot. I get goosebumps just looking at the sign that this person made for the big occasion.
I picture Bama fan’s head being filled with so many thoughts that they just spilled out in different directions.
“Waiting 103 hours for Alabama autographs,” fits perfectly on the right side.
What is Alabama Fan Day?

That means the first Sunday of August (Aug. 3) will once again be the day for fans to watch an entire Crimson Tide practice and collect some autographs after the team wraps up for the day at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The practice is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. and is expected to run for two hours. It will be the Crimson Tide’s third of the preseason and second as a full team.

You can also see that this person takes great pride in being first in line to run on that Bryant-Denny grass. Six out of seven years speaks volumes. Can you imagine giving up a week in July/early August to wait in line for Bama Fan Day? No? It’s time to look in the mirror.
The bottom reads:

To all Bama fans: If you want to go to heaven and walk the streets of gold, just remember the password, “Roll Tide Roll.”

Goosebumps.
If you’ve never been to a game in SEC territory, do yourself a favor and schedule a visit. It will blow your mind. I’ve been to five SEC home games (LSU (2), Alabama, Ole Miss and Tennessee) and each summer I find myself being drawn back to these people. This isn’t some sort of isolated situation. There are 10,000 “First In Line” guys out there who would be doing the same thing if they didn’t have to work.
The only bad news for First In Line fan is that it’s supposed to rain in Tuscaloosa the next 2.5 days. At least he has a van to save him from the elements.
I need a TV station to get an interview with First In Line fan. Let me know if you see an interview on tonight’s news. Send a link.
