McCormick shared via an Instagram story that he’s out for the year due to an ankle injury. He downplayed its severity, but it’s enough for the Raiders to end his season early. Before his injury, McCormick was showing potential with solid performances in Weeks 13 and 14.
Crosby also took to social media to announce his season-ending injury. He injured his ankle again in Week 14 and required surgery. Despite this setback, he promises to return stronger next year, which should worry opposing teams.
Crosby’s stats this season include 45 tackles, 20 quarterback hits, and 7.5 sacks over 12 games. He was frequently mentioned in trade rumors but has expressed his desire to remain with the Raiders. However, with no guaranteed money left on his contract, his future with the team is uncertain.
As it stands, the Raiders have a poor record of 2-12, tying them with the New York Giants for last place in the league. But due to a weaker schedule, they currently hold the top draft pick. If things stay this way, they’ll have a chance to choose between quarterbacks Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward.
