Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife, Amy, survived a plane crash today in Tennessee, according to media reports. Local media reports say the plane rolled off the end of the runway at Elizabethton Municipal Airport.
Preliminary information indicates that three people on the plane evacuated no injuries were reported to the FAA.
Elizabethton Fire Chief Barry Carrier previously said Earnhardt’s wife was also on the plane.
The Carter County Sheriff reports that everyone survived and none of the injuries sustained were serious. Dale Jr.’s sister Kelley confirms the flight also included Isla Earnhardt, Dale’s daughter, was also on the flight.
I can confirm Dale, Amy & Isla along with his two pilots were involved in a crash in Bristol TN this afternoon. Everyone is safe and has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. We have no further information at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
