All those ESPN brackets and so few had the Final Four
It’s no surprise that there are only 550 perfect Final Four brackets out of 17.3 million submissions on ESPN. That’s 550 Loyola fans with perfect brackets. Not bad. The person leading the ESPN bracket challenge had UMBC beating Virginia and then Loyola in the Final Four. That person also has Michigan winning it all. You can go check the leaderboard here.

That’s exactly what Loyola-Chicago officials were doing earlier this week, as demand from licensees came in to the school’s athletic department.
“We weren’t going to do anything until she gave her blessing,” said Tom Sorboro, a senior associate athletic director at the school.

Villanova, Michigan, Loyola-Chicago & Kansas each earned $8.2 million for their conferences for playing in 5 tournament games through the Final Four. The payment from the NCAA will be paid out over the next six years. Schools don’t get paid for playing in title game.
