The Los Angeles Chargers’ kicking situation was quite bad this past season. They used four kickers in total — Younghoe Koo, Nick Novak, Travis Coons, and some guy named Nick Rose — and were a combined 20/30. The Chargers could have been choking in the Wild Card round if it weren’t for the disaster at the position.
And it looks like the Chargers plan on carrying over their kicking drama to next season, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports they have signed noted bust Roberto Aguayo. He, of course, was cut by the Bucs in the preseason and had short stints with the Bears and Panthers.
Former Buccaneers’ kicker Roberto Aguayo is signing with the Los Angeles Chargers, per source. A fresh start in LA for the former second-round pick on a team that needs a kicker.

The good news? The Chargers’ press release states it is a Reserve/Future contract before spinning their fans with his old college stats.
Our immediate takeaway here is that Philip Rivers might kill this guy if he actually kicks next season. You could make a reel of Rivers reacting to his kickers bombing winnable games — here’s one of them:

There’s only so much No. 17 can take at this point.
