We have a new contender for the freakiest baseball injury award after Braves utility man Johan Camargo hurt his right knee tonight while running out onto the field before first pitch.
I was pretty sure K-Rod stepping on a cactus while playing in the Cactus League would never get topped, then Camargo, who has morphed into what Sean Rodriguez was supposed to be for the Braves, went down in a heap while trying to avoid the chalk line:
"That is unbelievable." A freak accident forces the @Braves to take Johan Camargo out of the game before the 1st pitch. Stay tuned for more. pic.twitter.com/vq7chWx7VV

And just like that, the superstition of jumping over the chalk has new lore in Atlanta. Poor Braves.
Here’s the view of Camargo’s fall from behind the dugout:

On the plus, it looks like Dansby Swanson will be back soon to try to salvage his season:
Dansby Swanson has been taken out of Gwinnett's game in the 3rd inning after Johan Camargo got hurt taking the field in Atlanta. #Braves
