The Vegas Raiders stadium lease is finally done

I’ve been following this Vegas stadium nonsense for a while now and I’ll be honest, it’s been way too much legal mumbo-jumbo for me. Too much stalling, too many things actually preventing things from getting done. Like a lot of people, I just want to see this dope new stadium built, so we can actually have a team in Vegas because we all know it’s going to be awesome. It finally looks like they’re on their way to starting construction after approving a lease yesterday. Nearly four months of negotiations and a few sleepless nights later, an overhauled lease earned unanimous approval from the Stadium Authority board Thursday afternoon. The revised agreement between the authority and the Raiders-designated stadium events company now goes before NFL owners for approval at their spring meeting next week in Chicago. The owners are basically guaranteed to approve, so things are actually starting to roll now.
