Back in July, Michelle Wie was forced to withdraw from the Ricoh Women’s British Open after irritating her left ankle injury while walking off a tee box. It was no doubt a bummer for Wie considering she’s never won the event — though she did get to use her free time to experiment with her hair by trying out the blonde look:

We’re hoping those who were a fan of the look didn’t get too attached, because it only took a couple weeks for Wie to opt out of the blonde hairdo in favor of something with much more flare.
She referred to the drastic switch as “Project Unicorn (a.k.a. rainbow hair):”

To be honest, we don’t hate it. It’s out there, sets her apart from the rest of the pack and most importantly, we can’t take our eyes off of it!
