Indianapolis beer badasses Sun King Brewing knows a thing or two on how to market a beer to its loyal local buyers. All you have to do is put “Tom Brady sux” on the bottom of your cans, have someone tip off the Indianapolis Star (or just wait until some random fan tips off the Star) and you’re golden. One thing leads to another and it’s being sent to us on Twitter.
Of course that will lead to a Rovell tweet, which will lead to 400 sites using Rovell’s tweet for a post, which will lead to local TV stations in the Boston and Indy markets to catch on and before you know it ESPN.com is creating some big story about the beer.
That’s marketing, kids. Simple, effective and doesn’t cost a penny. Three words. Bet your college professor won’t teach you this stuff here in a couple weeks when you’re sitting in a 300-400 level marketing class.
By the way, Beer Advocate gives this Wee Mac an “Okay” rating. Don’t kill yourself trying to find these.
